Horizon was originally started in 1988 by 23 chief executives of various companies in diverse industries. Over the years, through 2014, the Company acquired thirteen base companies and fourteen add-on acquisitions globally. By 2023, all businesses were sold, and ownership was consolidated within one family. Horizon now seeks new acquisitions under its consolidated ownership. During this period, the Company has also funded and continues to fund private high school tuition to academically high achievers who caddie at a golf club during the summer months.
